Hare Krishna Dear devotees
How are you all doing. Thought just
started new year, but already 4th Saturday of the month. Krishna says " Aham
Kalosmi" meaning I am eternal time. He never fails doing his duty on time
and so perfectly. As the days, weeks, months and years passing by, by the
time we realize that how much time was gone? look back and count/think what
did I do? and what can I really carry with me? We need to really spend time
to count those things which money cannot buy? because only those things
which money cannot buy are real things which we can carry with us. World
is changing so rapidly, looking at the news really scary for current and
next generation , its not safe any more, so many atrocities and people are
justifying their actions with religion, philosophy and reasoning. Its the
effect of Kali( Quarrel and Hipocracy) Yuga.
The only option is to change ourselves
especially our internal consciousness , we cannot change the world. The best
way is to over come the Kali effect is learn from Srimad Bhagavath
Gita/Srimad Bhagavatham and apply sincerely, Chant Hare Krishna and make
life meaningful and purposeful. so that not only change ourselves but make
an effort the impact the people around us in positive way hence create a
better world.
This week we will read and understand 4
most important verses from Srimad Bhagavath Gita. Ramesh Prabhu will
felicitate this week's discussion. Its called Chatur sloki Bhagavath Gita.
Chap 10 Verses 8, 9, 10 and 11. Ontological substance of Srimad Bhagavath
Gita is present in these 4 verses. The
chatur-sloki of the Bhagavad-gita, summarize the entire Gita. In text 8,
Krishna sums up His opulence and explains the result of truly knowing
those opulence's: one becomes a pure devotee. In text 9, He describes how
pure devotees worship Him. In texts 10 and 11, He describes His
reciprocation with their loving worship. |
Chap 10 Verse 8:
ahaṁ sarvasya prabhavo
mattaḥ sarvaṁ pravartate
iti matvā bhajante māṁ
budhā bhāva-samanvitāḥ
Translation: I
am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from
Me. The wise who perfectly know this engage in My devotional service and
worship Me with all their hearts.
Chap 10 Verse 9:
mac-cittā mad-gata-prāṇā
bodhayantaḥ parasparam
kathayantaś ca māṁ nityaṁ
tuṣyanti ca ramanti ca
Translation: The
thoughts of My pure devotees dwell in Me, their lives are fully devoted to
My service, and they derive great satisfaction and bliss from always
enlightening one another and conversing about Me.
Chap 10 Verse 10:
teṣāṁ satata-yuktānāṁ
bhajatāṁ prīti-pūrvakam
dadāmi buddhi-yogaṁ taṁ
yena mām upayānti te
Translation: To
those who are constantly devoted to serving Me with love, I give the
understanding by which they can come to Me.
Chap 10 Verse 11:
teṣām evānukampārtham
aham ajñāna-jaṁ tamaḥ
nāśayāmy ātma-bhāva-stho
jñāna-dīpena bhāsvatā
Translation: To
show them special mercy, I, dwelling in their hearts, destroy with the
shining lamp of knowledge the darkness born of ignorance. |
